December Daily 2017 vol. 3

Hi, friends! How are you? šŸ’›

I hope you’re doing well. Here we are at the beginning of November, which means we’re quickly approaching my very favorite scrapbooking project:Ā December Daily!

This year, I finally finished my 2017Ā December DailyĀ album and I’m making lots of progress on my 2018 album right now (can’t wait to share photos from the beginning of my 2018 album with you tomorrow) — I’m working hard to get both my 2018 and 2019 albums done by December (thanks to the super motivatingĀ #donebydecemberĀ challenge posted onĀ InstagramĀ by the amazing members ofĀ Ali Edwardsā€˜ creative team!).

I shared the beginning of my 2017 album with you last week inĀ this post and the middle of my 2017 album with you in this post on Tuesday. Here’s a look at the end of my 2017 December Daily album:

In my 2017 December Daily album, I used many elements (papers, cards, and embellishments) fromĀ Ali’s 2017 December Daily kitĀ as well as lots of papers fromĀ Pebbles’ Cozy and BrightĀ collection. I used 2″ Avery index tabs throughout this album — they’re so fun and I love using lots of tabs in my December Daily albums.

On day 22, I used a party bag from the Snow and Cocoa collection by Crate Paper. The small “Happy Holidays” tag is from that collection as well. The red and green twine is from the Target dollar spot. The gold “22” on the front of the party bag is from My Mind’s Eye and the gold chipboard “believe” is from Pink Paislee. I made a large tag out of paper from the Snow and Cocoa collection (it’s the same pattern as the party bag) and printed my journaling directly on the tag. I love the way it turned out!

On day 23, I had several photos that I wanted to use, so I made a multi-page spread with photos in pocket pages and some photos adhered back to back, hole punched, and put right into the album. I did my journaling on vellum and used some red glitter Thickers by American Crafts. The cork “merry” with gold glitter flecks in it is from Ali Edwards’ 2017 main kit and the gold chipboard “memories” is from Pink Paislee. The gold chipboard “wonderland” is from the Snow and Cocoa collection by Crate Paper. The glittery woodland creature paper is from the Cozy and Bright collection by Pebbles.

I kept day 24 pretty simple with a snowflake acetate piece from Paper House Productions that I found onĀ Scrapbook.com — it’s still availableĀ here. I used a cork “24” and a 3×4 journal card from Ali’s 2017 main kit and a tag from Crate Paper’s Snow and Cocoa collection.

For day 25, I used a large gold “25” from My Mind’s Eye, a tree shaped paper clip from Crate Paper’s Fa La La collection, patterned paper from Pebbles’ Cozy and Bright collection and did my journaling on vellum (I used the typewriter fonts “Remington Noiseless” and “Special Elite” throughout the album).

Finally, in the back of my album, I made two large envelopes with myĀ We R Memory Keepers envelope punch boardĀ with someĀ Pebbles Cozy and BrightĀ paper and some Doodlebug Design paper. I made them large enough to hold Christmas cards, coloring pages, and other items that I didn’t want to lose.

I just love how it turned out and I also love being DONE! This album was so much fun to work on and I know my family and I will enjoy it for years to come.

If you also have past December Daily albums to finish, I hope this post leaves you encouraged. Or, if this is your first year: make it work for you! Do whatever brings you joy! Go crazy or keep it simple (or, like me, do both — ha!). It’s such an incredible project and I just love it so, so much.
