December Daily 2016 Overview.

Hi, friends! How are you? 💛

December Daily 2020 is quickly approaching, and as of now, I still have most of my 2018 and 2019 albums to finish. I’ve joined the memory keeping movement that was started by members of Ali Edwards’ design team: #donebydecember — and am so motivated to get both remaining albums finished within the next month (cross your fingers for me!).

2016 was the very first year that I participated in December Daily — and I fell madly in love with it. I was pretty fearless when it came to trying new techniques, adding multiple photo, and using a lot of products. As time has gone on, I’ve definitely learned to edit a bit more — even though I’m more of a “maximumalist” scrapbooker, I now know that I don’t need to include every single story and embellishment.

I completed this album before the following December — I think I finished it in late December 2016 or January 2017 (*high five*), and while (so far), it’s been the only year I’ve been able to finish in a timely manner, December Daily still remains my all-time favorite memory keeping project (if you want more info on my favorite scrapbooking projects, check out my “I Heart Scrapbooking” blog post).

Here are some highlights and an overview of my completed 2016 December Daily album:

This album is so special to me because it highlights so many fun memories with my friends and family — including a trip to NYC at Christmastime to visit one of my dearest friends.

In 2016, I used a 6×8 Ali Edwards chipboard album and Pam Garrison‘s mini kit. The gold foil typewriter style Thickers I used to make “2016” on the spine are from American Crafts and the gold acrylic star is from Freckled Fawn. I used papers and embellishments from Crate Paper‘s 2016 holiday collection Snow and Cocoa. I used several digital elements by Ali Edwards and I also used a decent amount of twine and holiday shaped sequins from the Target dollar section. I didn’t have many numbers in my stash yet (2016 was the first year I started scrapbooking), so I used some that I bought on Scrapbook.com by My Mind’s Eye.

If you have any questions about any of my pages or products used, please feel free to comment below or message me on Instagram.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great rest of the week! 💛
