Fall Recipe Roundup.

fall-leaves-in-cuy-falls

Hello friends and happy Monday to you!

Fall is finally in full swing around here, and I have to say, it’s my absolute favorite season in the midwest.  The many trees’ leaves are changing colors — from green to gold, orange, and red.  The temperature drops as well as the humidity (which my hair gladly welcomes… but my skin, not so much).

But the thing I probably love most about this season is how much my cooking style changes.  In the warmer months, I try to cut down my use of the oven because it heats up the house so much.  And even though Crock Pot cooking is a smart option, my family and I usually aren’t in the mood for warm soups and stews when it’s so sticky and hot outside.  I try to make quick and easy meals during the summer — tacos and salads are a staple around here.  We’re also big fans of grilling (YUM!).

Below is a list of my favorite fall recipes (which I intend to add to this season) that can be prepared for a special occasion or just everyday.  There are some really warm and comforting soups as well as some of the yummiest autumnal treats on this list, so I hope it inspires you to get in your kitchen and have some fun.

Have a great day!  Be well and eat deliciously.
