Hi, friend! How are you? No, like… how are you, really?
I’m doing okay. I woke up this morning to my husband telling me that I’d accidentally left my sunroof open all weekend while my car sat in our driveway (insert *facepalm* here). It wouldn’t have been a huge deal, except that it drizzled all day yesterday. Thankfully, my car isn’t waterlogged — but it’s currently airing out in the garage, being dried with a shop vac and several fans. If that isn’t a metaphor for my current mental state, I don’t know what is. I’M FINE. EVERYTHING IS FINE.
It’s been a day, but you know what? I’m feeling really thankful — grateful for my helpful husband and kids who didn’t judge me for, well, being human — and for helping clean out the garage to keep my car nice and dry for a while.
Speaking of gratitude — when’s the last time you sent a thank you card? Maybe it’s time to send a more unconventional one, like — “thanks for bringing us some toilet paper when we were on our last roll,” “thank you for listening when I just needed to ugly cry,” or “thank you for being the kind of person that helps me keep my sanity in uncertain times like these.”
I started making some thank you cards with my Silhouette over the weekend and they’re turning out so cute! I think I’m going to write up some of them this week and send them out. After all, don’t you just love getting something in the mail that isn’t a bill or junk? I know I do — it always makes my day.
Until we can hug it out (and even after that) — let’s send more happy mail. Have a great week! Stay well!
